Carpool is a new video game studio based both in Paris and Montpellier, with a passion for creating the most innovative and exciting multiplayer games. Created by industry veterans and gathering a human-sized talented team from diverse background and culture, our team is all about bringing life to our unique ideas and focus on AAA execution.


We are thrilling to create games that are fun, challenging, full of pop culture references and willing to bring all players the best engaging and compelling experience possible. Our first project is a brand-new hybrid genre mixing strategy and fast paced action into a PvP experience. But more than a game, our objective is to create a new IP with transmedia opportunities to expand our narrative and go beyond the video game market.

Main responsibilities

You’ll play a key role in creating and fostering the growth of Carpool studio and our game community from scratch.

You will set strategy, recommend tools and develop tactics to actively engage players and interact with our community on a regular basis through multiple and diverse initiative.


Reporting to the Managing Director, you:

  • Setup and own our global community communications, engagement and growth strategies from development to execution across all the different phase of game development
  • Recommend and select accurate tools to create and manage our community in a specific multiplayer and live game environment.
  • Lead and iterate the creation and development of engaging and shareable content (example: Write Blogs, videos, and social media to keep player informed)
  • Own the vision, plan, and execution of communicating with players via Patch Notes, Developer Roadmap Updates, Feature Announcements, and Others
  • Develop and publish reporting and insights around community sentiment, Voice of the Player, emerging trends and other relevant areas to aid in decision-making at all levels of the organization
  • Organize and execute community events, to celebrate milestones, launch new content, and foster a sense of community.
  • Monitor, Convey player feedback and Champion the player perspective within the development team, advocating for features and improvements based on community feedback

Job requirements

Skills and Knowledge

  • Passion for multiplayer and live games and understanding of its community
  • 5+ years experience in community development, management or related roles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with content creators, external moderators, and/or highly engaged player/VIP or ambassador programs
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing online communities
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, forums, and community management tools
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and written


Relevant Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with at least one modern console platform is an advantage
  • Experience working in a multi-site collaboration environment is a plus
