Main responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Line Production Director, the Executive Producer manages a team of Line Producers and Associate Line Producers. Responsible for a portfolio of projects, the Executive Producer ensures that everything run smoothly and are brought to a successful conclusion.

As a true bandmaster, you are both the point of contact for the following subjects and a facilitator for your team, guaranteeing :

  • overall monitoring of project progress (strategy, quality, planning and budget)
  • management of your team (allocation of objectives, evaluation, advice, support, skills development)
  • coordination with other departments (marketing, business, legal, etc.
  • reporting to top management


Therefore:


1°) Product monitoring / Coordination

  • You ensure that the vision and objectives of the projects are respected, and communicate them to the teams 
  • You test games, give high-level feedback to your team, raise global issues that need to be addressed
  • You help teams to anticipate and assess risks in order to make the best decisions in terms of quality, time and budget
  • You coordinate the efforts of members of the various FOCUS departments (marketing, businnes, editorial, production, etc.)
  • You ensure that the various processes (communication, monitoring, feedback tools, etc.) are maintained and used


2°) Reporting / Communication

  • You are the point of contact for top management and inform them of regular developments with regard to their projects
  • You maintain good relations with the directors or management teams of the development studios
  • You act as mediator between the various FOCUS departments and with the studio
  • You coordinate your project team in order to obtain a good overall view of the project and help them take a step back


3°) Management 

  • You support and supervise Line Production teams on several projects
  • You define short/medium/long-term objectives for your teams
  • You evaluate your team's work and give advice on how to improve it
  • You participate in the recruitment process for the Line Production team


4°) Organization / Strategy

  • You are a driving force behind the creation, implementation and improvement of new processes and tools
  • You ensure that Focus processes, tools and methodologies are known and applied
  • You help your team to anticipate possible risks, and make the best decisions to maintain defined objectives in terms of quality, time and budget
  • You actively participate in the overall project strategy in collaboration with the directors
  • You ensure that project-related information is updated and disseminated internally via tools and reports
  • You identify blocking factors and propose solutions

Job requirements

  • With a Master's degree (school, university or equivalent), you have over 10 years' experience in video game production at a development studio and/or publisher

  • You have successful experience in team management (monitoring, control, motivation, skills development) and planning

  • You are familiar with production processes (from concept to post-launch)

  • You are familiar with video game professions and fields, enabling you to make recommendations to improve quality and project management

  • You are a diplomatic leader and a good communicator with your internal and external contacts

  • You have a good command of office automation tools: Excel / Google Sheets/Word / Google Docs /Powerpoint / GoogleSlides

  • Ideally, you have artistic skills (3D rendering, animation, lighting, etc.), technical skills (code, game engine, etc.) and/or design skills (game design, level design, UI, UX, etc.)

Additional information

  • Position: full time position to be filled as soon as possible
  • Location: Paris 19, Metro 7 (Corentin Cariou) / RER E (Rosa Parks)
  • Telecommuting: 2 days a week
  • Profit-sharing agreement
